Maria Theresa was the only female Habsburg monarch on the Czech throne. During her 40-year reign, she transformed a backward monarchy into a modern state. Among other things, she was also the Margrave of Moravia, which means that she was the highest state representative for the inhabitants of the royal capital Olomouc during her reign from 1740 to 1780. The people of Olomouc loved her because they knew her "personally". She visited Olomouc with her husband František Štěpán Lotrinský twice (1748 and 1754). Let's follow in their footsteps together!
